IconAtelier is built with privacy in mind. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Our Commitment

IconAtelier collects no personal data by default. Your work stays on your device unless you choose to use a feature that requires a connection.

Data Storage

Local Storage

Your projects and settings are stored locally on your device. Your OpenAI API key, if you add one, is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device.

AI Generation

If you use AI generation, your text prompts are sent directly to OpenAI using your own API key. This data is handled by OpenAI under their privacy policy. We do not receive or store your prompts or your API key.

Community Gallery

If you choose to publish an icon to the community gallery, the following is stored on our servers:

• The icon image and the editable project file
• The details you provide: a title, and optionally a display name, an App Store link, and tags
• A device attestation token used to prevent abuse (it does not identify you)

This data is stored using Cloudflare, a secure cloud platform. No other personal information is collected or linked to a published icon.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (email, phone, etc.)
• Usage analytics
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers
• Browsing history
• Any form of tracking

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. AI generation and the community gallery rely on third-party services described above, used only when you choose to.

Children's Privacy

IconAtelier does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Publishing to the community gallery is optional.

Your Rights

• Access: Browse your published icons in the community gallery at any time
• Delete: Delete published icons from within the app; delete the app to remove all local data
• Opt out: Don't add an API key and don't publish icons to avoid any external data handling

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
